J. Crew Landing Page
Overview
Landing pages are powerful tools used within Digital Marketing to convert targeted leads into customers. To make landing pages more effective, one must first understand how they work. As this was a class assignment to learn about SEO and meta tags, using an existing brand (J. Crew) proved to be both effective and challenging. The target audience for this landing page was brides. The idea was to give them the choice of two calls to action. They could either call to enlist a wedding specialist by using the phone number or they could set up an appointment by filling out the form.
As Moz.com’s Beginner’s Guide to SEO states, SEO is a marketing discipline focused on growing visibility in organic (non-paid) search engine results. Meta tags is one of SEO’s tools. Meta tags provide little content data that help tell search engines what a web page is about. Without meta tags, search engines wouldn’t know what the website is about and thus, unable to interpret relevancy and ranking within the search results. Therefore, the brides, in order to search for J. Crew wedding specialists, would type in the right keywords to find this landing page.
